John Tory's faith-based funding is a loser

Gay marriage supporter John Tory's faith based funding is a loser. We first met Ontario Conservative Party leader John Tory in 2004. We were pleased to learn he supported gay marriage but his stance attracted criticism from Christian extremists. Perhaps Tory thought if he agreed to make faith-based funding a part of his plan to change education in Ontario, he could painlessly make ammends with party extremists. Instead, he has renewed calls for one publc school system.

A call for condemnation of U.S. human rights

A call for condemnation of U.S. humanr rightsGay marriage advocate Bud Evans has issued a call to the international community for condemnation of U.S. human rights policy. The fight for same-sex marriage has revealed that the old American legacy of apartheid remains for gays and lesbians, and a recent case in New Jersey shows that even so-called "liberal" courts are willing to abandon their stewardship over the U.S. constitution to appease right-wing bigots.
