CIBC
2006 Diversity Awards
We
were in Greece when CIBC's 2006 Diversity Awards were presented
in Toronto. We were proud to be among the bank's honoured list but, with
regret, we were unable to attend. CIBC's Chief Compliance Officer Tim
Moseley said the evening was a celebration of "the unique achievements
of individuals who have gone above and beyond expectations in advancing
diversity as a business ideal at CIBC."

World
Congress MCC Founder's Award
The
Metropolitan Community Churches held a World Congress General Conference
(XXII) in Calgary Alberta, from July 21 through 26, 2005. Twenty countries
participated. We were honoured to be presented, in regretable absence,
the MCC Founder's Award, with a citation reading, "For your diligent
work in having your marriage performed
in Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto and then suing your government
and winning marriage rights for all of us." We deeply thank everyone
at MCC for your prayers, love, leadership, and support.

in all ways, with fellow honorees San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, California
Assemblyman Mark Leno, Palm Springs Mayor Ron Oden, Kate Kendell, Director
of the National Center for Lesbian Rights, and around 600 guests celebrating
same-sex marriage.
